- Applicable Products: Friction drives (e.g., P.wheel ebike converter), accessories, spare parts, and other small items
- Ships From: Mainland China or Hong Kong
- Delivery Time: 8-15 business days
- Shipping Cost: Free for most regions
2. Sea Freight
- Applicable Products: E-bike conversion kits (products with high-power batteries, e.g., LVBU e-bike conversion kits)
- Ships From: Mainland China or Hong Kong
- Delivery Time: 15-45 business days (depending on destination)
- Final Delivery: Local courier delivery after arrival at destination
- Shipping Cost: Free for some regions, see shipping cost table below
3. EU Express Delivery
- Applicable Products: Complete e-bikes manufactured at our France factory
- Ships From: France factory
- Delivery Time: 2-8 days
- Shipping Cost: Free for EU countries
- Available For: EU countries only

Shipping Restrictions
- Some remote islands and regions cannot be served
- Large items (conversion kits) can only be shipped to "Full Shipping Service" regions above
- If a product cannot be shipped to your region due to shipping restrictions, we will notify you within 3 business days and provide a full refund

- Special Products: 7-14 days processing time (indicated on product page)
⚠️ Important - Compatibility Verification:
For Friction Drives (e.g., P.Wheel) and E-bike Conversion Kits (e.g., LVBU):
- We will email you within 24 hours after your order for a manual compatibility review
- You may be asked to provide photos or videos of your bicycle
- This verification ensures the product is compatible with your specific bike
- This step is crucial to prevent compatibility issues and avoid unnecessary returns or exchanges
- Your order will be processed after compatibility is confirmed
Why this matters: Due to the variety of bicycle frames, wheel sizes, and brake systems, compatibility verification helps ensure a successful installation and optimal performance.

📧 Order Processing
1. Order Confirmation
You will receive an order confirmation email immediately after placing your order, which means:
- We have authorized your credit card
- We are preparing your order for shipment
- We have contacted our warehouse to confirm stock availability
2. Stock Check
- If in stock: We process payment and submit for shipment
- If out of stock: We notify you via email (see "Backorders" section)
3. Order Shipment
If your order is in stock and your credit card is approved by our fraud prevention department:
- Products usually ship within 1-3 business days from the order date
- Unless it's a backorder or custom-built product
- We automatically match the best carrier based on destination and product type
- After shipment, we will send carrier information and tracking number to the email address you provided at checkout
4. Tracking Information
Important Information About Tracking:
We provide final-mile tracking information, which means:
- ✅ We will send you the tracking number immediately after shipment
- ⏳ Initially, you may see "Awaiting Pickup" status
- 🚢 Air Freight Products: Tracking will activate after the package arrives at the destination airport and clears customs
- 🚢 Sea Freight Products: Tracking will activate after the package arrives at the destination port and clears customs
- 📦 When the final-mile courier picks up the package, tracking information will be fully activated and start updating

5. Phone Number Requirement

📦 Sea Freight Products Explanation
Why Do Conversion Kits Require Sea Freight?
E-bike conversion kits typically include high-capacity batteries. According to air transport safety regulations:
- ❌ High-capacity batteries cannot be shipped by air
- ✅ Must be shipped by sea freight
Sea Freight Shipping Process
1. International Transport Phase
- Ships from Hong Kong to destination country by sea
- Transit time: 15-45 days (depending on destination)
2. Customs Clearance Phase
- Customs clearance at destination port
- EU 27 + UK: We handle customs and duties
- Other countries: Customers may be responsible for customs fees
3. Final-Mile Delivery Phase
- After customs clearance, package is handed to local courier
- Courier will contact you to arrange delivery
- Usually delivered within 1-3 business days
Package Size Information
Although shipped by sea, conversion kit packages are moderately sized:

Please inspect the packaging when you receive your order:

- Look for tears, holes, or large dents
- Check if carton has been opened
- Verify all items are present
How to Handle Damage, Exceptions, or Discrepancies
Situation 1: Carton Damage (tears, holes, dents, opened, or missing items)
Carton damage requires visual inspection of contents:
- ✅ Recommended: Inspect immediately with driver present to verify damage
- ✅ If contents are damaged, note damage on carrier's paperwork
- ✅ Notify diyebicycle.com immediately
Important: If you cannot inspect contents immediately:
- Must note on carrier's paperwork: "Carton damage, subject to inspection"
- List type of damage
- Must inspect contents within 48 hours of arrival
- Report actual damage to carrier
Situation 2: Excessive Carton Damage with Exposed Product
- ❌ Refuse shipment
- ✅ Sign carrier's paperwork: "Carton damaged and refused"
- ✅ Notify diyebicycle.com immediately
Damage Discovered After Delivery
If products arrive damaged:
- You can file a warranty claim to get replacement parts
- Send photos to support@diyebicycle.com
- We will process an insurance claim on your behalf

Tips to Avoid Customs Delays
To avoid delays in receiving your order from customs:

Respond Promptly
- Do not refuse shipment or ignore requests from carriers regarding duty and/or tax liability
- Be aware that most carriers will hold a shipment for 5 days after arrival before returning it to sender
Refusal and Refund Policy (Non-EU/UK Customers)

- ❌ All additional fees from refused international shipments will be deducted from your refund

Customs Seizure (Non-EU/UK Customers)
- If a package is seized by customs for any reason and we do not receive it back, we will not issue a refund, as local laws and regulations determine the package's fate
- If we receive the package back after seizure, you are still responsible for shipping charges and any other fees plus penalties incurred
🔄 Backorders & Refunds
Backorders
Sometimes a product may be out of stock at our warehouse when you place your order. In this case:
- We will send you an email immediately after you place your order notifying you of the backorder
- Offer substitute product options so you can get your products sooner
Expected arrival time may change due to:
- Shipment being held up at port upon arrival
- Factory missing certain parts needed to complete manufacturing
If your order's arrival time changes: You can choose to:
- Keep the order and wait
- Substitute for a different product
- Cancel the order altogether
Once backorders arrive:
- We will notify you via email with estimated ship date
- You will receive tracking information within 1-3 business days
Cancellations & Refunds
- If your item is on backorder and you accept it, we will hold your payment until the product ships
- If you decide to cancel before a backorder arrives and is processed for shipping, we will not charge a fee
- If your order has shipped, you (the buyer) will be responsible for actual return shipping charges
- Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card used when placing your order
